Mishka Sibert, the older sibling to her autistic brother, shares how her family found peace among the chaos and how yours can too, in this guidebook for mothers.

If you’re a mother of more than one child, you know that sibling relationships can be complex.

And if you have an autistic child, you might feel like you’re running on empty, and that it’s impossible to find any peace in your crazed everyday life.

But it is possible, and Mishka Sibert shows you how in her book, The Mother’s Guide to Sibling Relationships: Navigating the Sibling Relationship on the Journey with Autism.

In her guidebook, Mishka opens up about her own experiences growing up with Samko, her autistic brother, and offers advice on how you can find peace in happy, healthy relationships at home. She covers evidence-based topics such as:

  • How your mindset affects your children
  • What creates and stops the cycle of sacrifice
  • How to work with nonverbal communication
  • What sibling relationships can look like
  • How to create a peaceful home environment
  • and more

This book is a must-read for any stressed and struggling mother who’s ready to be healthy and balanced during challenging times with autism.

“Mishka Sibert joined an employee panel at Adobe to talk about Embracing Neurodiversity. Her stories and insights were incredibly moving and helpful to the audience. She is a gifted speaker who knows how to make her points succinctly and build on what others are saying to present a powerful narrative. I’m looking forward to inviting her back for a keynote as I’d love more time just with her on stage.”

The awareness she brings to what is possible for those with Autism will help make the world more inclusive.

Mishka was a delight to have as a host for our Autism Celebration Webinar for our disability resource group. Our associates provided feedback on how valuable the session was and how they really appreciated knowing there were others in our company with similar experiences. The awareness she brings to what is possible for those with Autism will help make the world more inclusive. The webinar was engaging and interactive with the audience as well. Samko is also an amazing person. His smile could light up a room and he is a very talented artist. We all need a sibling like Mishka!
